Be Tobacco-Free

Being tobacco-free and nicotine-free means choosing not to use tobacco like cigarettes, nicotine pouches, e-cigarettes, or other tobacco products. It can also mean avoiding secondhand smoke and secondhand e-cigarette aerosol.
If you smoke, vape, or use other tobacco products, choosing to quit could be one of the most important decisions you ever make. Quitting can help prevent serious chronic diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, and stroke. There are also other benefits of not using tobacco products such as saving money, whiter teeth and fresher breath, cleaner smelling clothes, having more energy, and having more confidence. Quitting isn't easy but support is available
Additionally, secondhand smoke can have the same health impacts to non-smokers as it does to the person smoking. Having more smoke-free locations reduces exposure to secondhand smoke and improves the health of the community. Check out the topic spotlights below to learn more about efforts to support smoke free places.
