Francisco Vega, PE, is the Division Director of Air Quality Management. He has over 20 years of experience working in public health and environmental protection and most recently has specialized in leadership and organizational management.  Francisco has been with Northern Nevada Public Health since 2019 and enjoys working with a tremendous team with a goal of protecting public health and providing value to the community.

Born and raised in Carson City, Nevada, Francisco attended the University of Nevada, Reno where he earned a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration.  Francisco’s career first began with the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection and has included stops at Nevada Cement Company and NV Energy. 

In his spare time, Francisco enjoys spending time with his family and taking advantage of all the wonderful outdoor activities that living in the Truckee Meadows has to offer.  He also enjoys giving back to the community and has coached youth football for many years.
