The Land Development Program (LDP) oversees the construction, deepening and abandonment of domestic and monitoring wells. We do NOT permit agricultural wells or irrigation wells; those are overseen by the Nevada Division of Water Resources. We also do NOT oversee or regulate domestic well water quality in Washoe County. Water quality resources and information about how to apply for a domestic well permit are listed below.

**   FREE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES    **

NNPH is partnering with the Rural Community Assistance Corporation to offer two free trainings to property owners served by private wells or septic systems: 

You Own a Private Well, Now What? will be held on April 23rd from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the A/B Conference Rooms at NNPH offices at 1001 Ninth Street, Building B, Reno, NV 89512. Click on the link to register.

Inspection Process

  • Inspections must be scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the desired time of inspection. Inspections are on a first come first serve basis. Please call the EHS front desk to schedule 775-328-2434.
