The Multi-Casualty Incident Plan (MCIP) is an operational response plan for Multi-Casualty Incidents that occur in Washoe County. Plan revisions were approved by the Inter-Hospital Coordinating Council and the District Health Officer on June 12, 2024.

The Mutual Aid Evacuation Agreement (MAEA) is a plan specifically for healthcare facility evacuations of patients with minimal disruption to the community’s acute care system. Plan revisions were approved by the Inter-Hospital Coordinating Council and the District Health Officer on June 9, 2023.

The Washoe County EMS Strategic Plan is a requirement of the Interlocal Agreement for Emergency Medical Services Oversight. The mission of the EMS Strategic Plan is to coordinate the delivery of efficient and effective emergency medical services to the citizens, businesses, and visitors of Washoe County through collaboration with EMS providers. The goals of the Washoe 2023-2028 Strategic Plan focus on 3 areas: Practitioner Safety, Operational Efficiencies, and Clinical Care. The plan was approved in March of 2023 by the EMS Advisory Board and in May of 2023 by the District Board of Health.

The Washoe County EMS Protocols is a regional patient care document for EMS providers. The protocols are reviewed and revised and scheduled revisions are biannual in January and July. The latest EMS Protocols revision was in 2024 with an effective date of July 1, 2024.
